Electrical Marine Service
We Are Good At
We are a long-established family business in its fourth generation, with over 60 years of extensive experience in the repair, maintenance, conversion, and refit of yachts. At the modern, well-equipped Albatros Marina in Marmaris, our 20-member team provides all services from a single source – flexible, efficient, and reliable. Thanks to favorable conditions in Turkey, fair pricing, and duty-free spare parts from the EU, we are able to guarantee an unbeatable price-performance ratio.
We are an old family business now entering its fourth generation with Nik Frère. This allows us to look back on more than 60 years of history and corresponding experience. In addition to regular repair and maintenance work on yachts, we have had ample opportunity over the years, through numerous projects, to deepen and expand our expertise in the fields of conversion, renovation, reconstruction, as well as the restoration of major damages to yachts. The youngest generation in the company traditionally ensures that our team and its equipment always remain up to date, guaranteeing continuous adaptation to the latest technologies and procedures.
The Albatros Marina in Marmaris, Turkey, offers ideal conditions for carrying out all kinds of work and repairs on yachts. Whether it’s a 15-meter wide 350-ton travel lift, hangar facilities for painting and large-scale projects, or berths for yachts up to 160 meters in length – nothing is missing! At our company’s own floating dock, we provide 40 berths for yachts up to 20 meters long. When comparing marina prices with those of the surrounding marinas, Albatros Marina is also one of the most affordable marinas in Turkey. Although our company is based in Marmaris, Turkey, this does not prevent us from extending our services to the entire Mediterranean region.
We have a strong team of 20 people, covering all areas of a modern yacht repair and maintenance business. Since we hardly ever need to employ subcontractors, this provides a high level of flexibility as well as fast and efficient workflows. We are therefore fully capable of resolving both small and large problems on yachts at short notice.
Compared to the Western Mediterranean, Turkey still offers the best price-performance ratio when it comes to labor costs and the quality of the work carried out. Thanks to the possibility of customs transfer of parts and equipment for foreign-flagged yachts, it is still possible to transport parts and repair materials from the EU directly to the vessel free of VAT. Since we organize and carry out every step for you — from the yacht’s clearance into Turkey, through repair, maintenance, and support, up to its clearance out of Turkey — you benefit from a complete all-round service that cannot be found elsewhere at comparable prices.
Probably there is no other field of work where the result is so closely linked to the dedication of the craftsman to the product as in the repair and refit of yachts. Someone who is not obsessed with ships – or at least fascinated by them – will never be able to carry out work on them with high quality and precision, no matter how much capital or time is invested.
I am very grateful that my family has been blessed to preserve and nurture this dedication over four generations.
